MTB4MENTALHEALTH is a South Florida business supporting first-responder mental health through movement, honest conversation, and a culture that makes room for the whole person.
MTB4MH grew from a lifelong relationship with riding—and from the belief that first responders deserve room for the whole person.

Firefighter/paramedic. Peer Support Coordinator. Lifelong rider.
MTB is built from lived experience, movement, and community.
I’ve been on two wheels since I was five years old—racing BMX by eleven, mountain biking by fourteen, and road riding by sixteen thanks to my godfather. Life pulled me away from cycling more than once, but it always pulled me back.
I’ve spent 20+ years as a firefighter/paramedic, and for the last decade I’ve done peer support work alongside it. I currently serve as my department’s Peer Support Coordinator, sitting with fellow first responders through the calls—and through everything that comes after, the part that never makes it into a report.
I went through my own hardest years too: a long, difficult chapter in my personal life that tested me alongside the weight the job puts on you.
What brought me back was a mountain bike. Getting back on the trails became the reset I didn’t know I needed. I started calling it “Shreditation,” because riding singletrack is meditation, whether you plan it that way or not. That idea grew into a racing team, a community, and eventually MTB4MH.
Today I’m rebuilding MTB4MH as what it was always meant to be: a real brand with a real mission—gear and community built for first responders, and for anyone looking for their own way back to balance, to community, to their people.

Practical, active, and rooted in the real lives of first responders. MTB is here to help make mental health part of the everyday conversation.
Strength is not only what you carry. It is also knowing when to put something down—and making space for someone else to do the same.
The job can follow you home. Whether you want to talk with someone who gets it, find professional support, or just know what's out there, these are places to start.
These are independent organizations. MTB4MH isn't affiliated with them and doesn't provide crisis or clinical services. Check each one's site for current services and who's eligible.

Some calls are hard to put down. FRED (First Responder Emotional Decompression) is an AI tool built to give first responders a place to talk through the weight of the job. It's currently in beta.
FRED is not therapy, a diagnosis, or a crisis line, and it doesn't replace professional care. It can't contact emergency help for you. Check their site for current access, device availability, eligibility, and their privacy policy.

MTB4MH is built to partner with organizations doing real work in first-responder mental health, wellness, and community. We’re currently in conversations about future collaborations.
When one is confirmed, we’ll design and produce a limited product with clear funding and visibility for the partner. The product page will state the fixed dollar amount from each sale and how it supports that mission—never a vague “portion of proceeds.” Names and details will be announced only after the partnership is confirmed.
